As a mother of two, I fully understand the emotional, mental and physical changes you face, including how hard it can be to find motivation to exercise consistently and feel comfortable in your new postpartum body.
Exercising during pregnancy and after birth is hugely beneficial. However, it's imperative you understand which exercises are safe, and which increase the risks of major injury. These could include diastasis recti (abdominal separation) and pelvic floor weakness, causing leakage or prolapse at worse. Statistics show 1 in 3 New Zealand women who have had a baby have suffered from bladder leakage.
